The goal of the Committee is to advance RESOLVE’s Federal Advocacy Day, an annual event focused on patient advocacy for access to care for all people challenged in their family building. It is the Committee’s mission to ensure the success of Advocacy Day; virtually and in-person, for the patient community and, in partnership with RESOLVE staff, is responsible for everything, from pre-event preparations to post-event planning. Committee Volunteers work on a variety of different initiatives and projects including but not limited to event marketing, communications, recruitment, State Captain program, patient outreach and engagement, and more!

Volunteers consist of a broad network of individuals including those on their family building journey, those who are resolved, family members, family building and healthcare professionals, and advocates. She previously served as the Subcommittee Lead for the Military & Veterans Taskforce, helping to recruit, train, and support not only military-connected advocates but educate all advocates on military service and family building issues to help empower them to advocate for our military and veteran families on Advocacy Day. In 2024, it will be Julie’s fifth time participating in Advocacy Day!

Julie Eshelman is the Founder, CEO, and President of Building Military Families Network where she took her struggles and lack of support and access to information in family building and created an organization to fill that gap for military and veteran families. Her own family’s experiences with infertility and the frustrations resulting from a lack of insurance coverage led her RESOLVE to advocate for the change she desperately wants to see for the next generation of military and veteran families. Julie was named the 2022 Armed Forces Insurance Fort Leavenworth Spouse of the Year for her awareness, advocacy, and leadership in infertility and military family building.

Raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Julie has lived all across the country thanks to her husband’s Army career including Virginia, Washington, Arizona, Illinois, and Kansas. They are currently stationed in her home state of Pennsylvania and enjoying this time living close to family. Julie and her family know that they will likely be on the move again in the summer of 2024, but they have no idea where in the world that might be. Home is always where the Army sends them.

E-Beth Marshall

E-Beth has integrated her business acumen, and her firsthand experience with infertility, as a grassroots advocate for community awareness and legislative change benefiting individuals and couples facing infertility. Since 2016, she has championed the need for insurance coverage, appearing before the Arizona Legislature committee hearings and meeting with legislative members.

Her Infertility advocacy extends to hosting a RESOLVE monthly support group for others experiencing infertility, providing a powerful voice through RESOLVE’s Advocacy Day, and co-chairing the DIY Walk of Hope Arizona. She received RESOLVE’s Hope Award for Service in 2021.

E-Beth is an accounting professional who holds a BS in Business Administration and an MBA.

    Structure of Volunteer Committee

The Volunteer Committee has two Chairs who provide leadership, delegation, and coordination efforts for the full Committee.
